- This file contains some new information, rule options, and propaganda
-
- Add this:
- Come on you people! I need some feedback from anyone. Anything wrong
- with the game. Want to change something: a rule, remove a piece, add a new
- piece, cut the size of the board? This is the primordial version because
- YOU the player must decide what the final version of Jayden looks like!
- Go ahead send me some ideas, nothing too big or too small. Just write me and
- secure youir place in history (Just think, the history books in the year
- 2100 will read: YOUR NAME HERE was one of the chosen few to have contributed
- to our national past time when he decided to change...!). I'll mull over your
- proposal, contact a few registered users (HINT) and hear what they have to say
- about it, then if it passes the test I'll incorporate it into the game (with
- your name credited). Please write! Subliminal message: Register too!
-
- Add this too:
- For those using PC-Link, don't try calling Mentor III, I'm phasing out that
- name. Instead, contact me by the name of Jayden.
-
- Rule Idea:
- One interesting idea for a rule change is that Sentinels can only be placed
- in enemy territory. This rule might be necessary to prevent placing your
- Master in an impenetrable fortress. But the verdict is still out if this
- rule is necessary, it all depends on if setting up the fortress can actually
- be done under game conditions (place your Master in a corner, cover one side
- with a sentinel. It leaves only one square unprotected.) If it proves
- necessary, enforce this rule by yourselves, the program has not been changed
- yet to check it itself.
-
- Don't Worry:
- Do you find the movement rules confusing? Sorry, but don't worry it will all
- become clear. If you need to get the hang of it, just play a game against
- yourself, the computer won't let you make an illegal move.
-
- Final Word:
- Remember to copy this file along with all the other JAYDEN.* files when giving
- this to friends.
-
- That's all from me, Mark Descallar, later!
- August 1990 - On my way to 11th grade in September.
